Technical Pre-Sales Engineer-Team Leader

Duties

In this role, you will generate interest in and excitement around the Platform and the innovative, value-driven solutions it provides. You will focus on new opportunities, enabling channel partners and evangelism in both my clients and Microsoft communities. Capitalizing on your broad experience and industry insight, you will demonstration all that is possible by delivering solution demonstrations, proof of concepts (POC’s), technical presentations and engaging with users at all levels of our client organizations. Providing a regional presence, you will work remotely and be expected to travel to meetings, conferences and short-term customer engagements within your region and on occasion travel to other European locations.

What you’ll be doing as a member of our team:

Hands on Technical Sales Engineer as well as leading the UK Technical Sales Team

  • day to day Operations and Administration including expense claims approvals, holiday approvals, one on one team development duties.
  • Responsible for the Technical direction and standard in the UK Technical sales Team
  • Build and sustain good relationships between the Technical Sales team and the commercial sales team
  • Must be excited by innovative technology and how this affects possibilities for potential customers.
  • Min 2 years as team leader experience
  • Deliver use case centric solution demonstrations to business and technical audiences
  • Develop POC’s to demonstrate the value to potential and existing customers
  • Demonstrate products and solutions at partner events, trade shows and conferences
  • Engage with existing and potential customers to identify business opportunities
  • Propose, develop and validate software solutions to meet customer needs
  • Partner with the Account Executive and Inside Sales Representative for your region to achieve sales and revenue targets
  • Build awareness of the brand among potential customers and our partner and Microsoft communities
  • Work with our partner channel to create go-to market assets
  • Maintain leading-edge knowledge of Microsoft platform and associated products and technologies within the Enterprise
  • Share technical expertise and collateral with the broader technical community
  • Support product development and marketing teams by sharing customer and market insights

Requirements

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • A BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience combined with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in architecting/developing applications that are comprised of Forms/UI, Data Integration and Business Logic
  • Experience with the Microsoft stack (SharePoint, SQL Server, web services, etc.) in addition to other large enterprise systems (SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, etc.)
  • Prior experience integrating with various on-premises and cloud-based Enterprise Line of Business data systems
  • Understanding of Business Process Management and/or Workflow platforms is desirable
  • Proven experience in consulting or software industries
  • Pre-sales engineering background is preferred but not essential
  • A great communicator with previous public speaking experience
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire

  • 12-24 months experience developing against the MS Azure platform
  • Experience configuring Azure AI capabilities
    • Cognitive services
    • Bot Frameworks
    • Machine Learning
  • Rest/Swagger experience
  • Experience in JavaScript/JQuery/NodeJS beneficial
